Very low price tag, but impressive performance given the price.
Lightweight unit, and good sound blocking from the earpads.
Good Bass response, massively long cable (great if you want it!).
Impedance may mean it needs a bit more grunt from small units like mp3 players to drive it at a decent volume.
Earpads too "shallow" for my liking. Would have been fantastic if the drivers were supported a bit further from the ear.
Otherwise a great value for money product.
Very comfortable lurking, sound quality, however, is no picnic, getting better, however, if you can juggle a bit of EQ. Very expensive though!
Recently purchased a pair of these to use on the synthesiser and electric piano at home. Have used professional series Sennheisers for years but needed an everyday pair for home use. They seem to have struck the ideal balance here - obvious Sennheiser quality and sound reproduction re-interpreted for an everyday use and budget without becoming dull. Well done Sennheiser. Would definitely recommend for a quality spin on a home range product.
Worst handset I tested!
Sounds stuffy and plastigt, lacks bass.
Sounds crap simply.
Is unfortunately quite fussy and is used to lurk for about 3000-5000: -
I bought these to use the computer but they will not do even this.
Sennheiser should be ashamed!
Sounds clean and clear, though a little weaker base than they lurk I owned previously.
A bit uncomfortable to wear for long.
Maybe affordable but not particularly good sound. Fairly comfortable to wear.
I'm no audiophile, but had been looking forward to a couple of "real Sennheiser-trick". My, how disappointed I was!
The sound is flat and lifeless, and the computer is the OHT is not possible to get enough pressure to provide any insight. Not that these were cheap, but according to me you can get the same audio experience with a couple of open lurking under 100 patches (check the bargain bin at Runsven).
Of course, I ask myself questioning if my copy was defective, but there was no rasping or other "noise" that suggest it - just substandard sound.
It was returned by return mail and returned to my 10 + year old Technics RP-HT400 which then cost around £ 250.
Fine nap wearing. Feels well made.
