Strongly recommended, assuming the 185 is as good as its predecessor model 180 I got. The sound quality is rather pleasant than strictly analytical. Reproduce gracefully down to all the 32-inch organ pipes. Five years behind and no signs of wear yet in spite that they don’t feel as good as they sound for a listener with a largish skull as the arms are not adjustable. Still, easily worth of five stars.
Owns both a pair of Sennheiser RS ??180, and a pair of Sennheiser Momentum Wireless (version 2). All three handsets are very good in their way. I leave the review on the basis of a comparison of these generally very appreciated headphones. Both RS + earphones have superior comfort compared with closed lurk as wireless momentum (momentum despite having great comfort to be a closed-hook). This, among other things because of their plysh-muffs and its open design. + RS 185 is slightly lower in frequency than its predecessor, the RS 180, making the really low bass lines arrive a little better. Bass reproduction is absolutely stunning and it's incredibly nice to let the production set the limit instead of headphones. RS 185 is generally a very good sound reproduction across the entire range. + The digital audio input is worth gold when you do not have a lot of unnecessary DA-AD-DA conversion before the sound reaches the ear (with RS 180 only with analog input, the choice of DA converter decisive for sound quality), this allows the RS185 earphones have a super detailed and noise-free audio with very good dynamics + The sound reproduction in RS185 (and to some extent RS 180) is clearly better with a more open and more natural sound than closed lurking due to the open construction + Broadcast station to the RS185 is switched on automatically, unlike the RS 180 when you turn on the headphones + The controls have improved compared with the RS 180, so they are easier to find with the headphones on + Uses standard rechargeable AAA batteries and has a good range of spare parts which allows one to wear these headphones for long without getting into trouble with expensive battery replacements and similar - Something tight arc that makes the sleeves, press a little too hard on the head, like Sennheiser was able to afford adjustable pressure (have a head of medium size;)). Has been able to bend the bow with some gnuttor violence by pulling the headphones to the maximum size and bend the metal in the arc gently. This is mainly something you notice when using the headphones very long periods. - Open lurking requires of course that you can not share a room with someone who bothers / disturbed when listening when leaking out / in the voice. - Does only the base station, would have been very nice if they worked also through bluetooth in case you want to use the headphones outside the range of the base Conclusion: If you want a couple of very good sounding wireless headphones with good comfort, open, noise-free, detailed and dynamic sound, this is a very good investment for use, for example, in the office or at home :)
