Chose between the D5200 and D3200, eventually becoming a D5200 with the 18-55 kit lens. I was afraid I would be too limited with a D3200, this is assuredly my first SLR so can not speak so much between different models. Is pleased so far with the camera and it has already fall into some more loopholes. This kit lens works well at first, but you will probably need one with more zoom. Regarding camera takes very good pictures. Footwork on manual settings and after some tweaking spirit of the settings so it will be very good pictures. Took a while to get into it but take the camera out and test as you learn quickly feel the camera. A very good entry-level camera at an ok price!
