Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo is very good and runs 36C at idle on 8350!
Good product but too high for some ATX chassis. Minimum frame width is 180 mm. It is therefore not in eg Fractal Design Core 1000 is 175 mm wide. You can turn off the chassis cover but the bulge 5 mm at most. In addition, couples in this way the chassis with IHS since copper rods which conducts the heat in contact with the chassis. This could potentially be a drawback.
Good cooling, fantastic price! I have installed this in two systems (AMD o Intel) and it works like clockwork. The cooler is high, so check first that the chassis is wide enough so that you get there side plate (ok in Fractal Design Define R3, for example). On my motherboard required RAM without heat sink for cooler would fit. Bruxen is no masterpiece when it comes to help with the installation, but it works. If you experiment a little before you run sharp, it should not be a problem. Is absolutely quiet enough, especially if you have fans in general (on video card, etc).
My biggest priority to buy this cooler was that it would be quiet with capable cooling, I was not completely satisfied. Installation: Pretty easy to install, did well in my GA-P55-UD4 but the covers still a memory location so be sure to have low memory for this card. The fan goes on and off very easily. No deductions here. Sound: I've had the jar open and listened to all the fans and even unplugged and in order to ensure what sounds and how much. This fan has a low noise level but unfortunately it emits a somewhat distinctive sound that can only be described as an odd buzzing. It is clear that there can be something with just my fan but I have read previous reviews here on PriceSpy and it seems that atleast one more've liked that it has a certain buzz. This sound is, however, so significantly as the rest is relatively quiet in my jar that I probably will replace it with something else. What do I have to pull out of four stars for. Cooling: The radiator my Intel Core i5 750 (Gen 1) with no problems, is around 37 C in a Fractal Design Arc with flätkning on low volts. Do not go over 50 during hard driving. No deductions here but had probably hoped for a little better performance. Conclusion: Bought this because I wanted to try something other than Noctua but even then the price is really good, I can not recommend this fan if you are sound allergies.
